We are off to Europe!!! The start of our European tour.

 25th September 2023 We left home and headed to the New Dover Road Park and Ride in Canterbury, this is a perfect place to stop to explore Canterbury or as a stopover before/after your channel crossing. It cost £4 for 24 hours (Midnight to Midnight) so an overnight stop is £8. There is a water filling point and also grey/black waste emptying and bins.  We caught the free bus into Canterbury city centre and spent the afternoon exploring some of the sites. This is a very picturesque place with lots of history and shops to visit.  26th September  We left the Park and Ride at 5.30am to head to the tunnel for our crossing. Once at the Eurotunnel it is a very simple process to get checked in and then you have to wait to be called. Once you are called you proceed through passport control and customs, which is very straight forward, and the only check is usually to make sure your gas is turned off.   Gas leaks, campsite and Vanlife and Overlander celebration July 2023 So having purchased our new Cadac a few weeks ago it was time to get the outside gas point fitted. We had this done by a local company and all looked good, they fitted a quality attachment in the gas locker door and routed the new pipework tidily inside the locker with a separate one / off switch for the Cadac. We set off for the Newbury Showground on the Wednesday before the show started, planning on staying at a campsite somewhere near the show and heading to the showground Thursday after stocking up at the shops.  We eventually found a site near Newbury, most of the ones we found on Search for Sites where fully booked or just ridiculously expensive for a one night stopover but we stumbled across https://bishopsgreenfarm.co.uk/  which was a lovely site run by a family. Hello and welcome to our new website where we will share our travels and recommendations with everyone. These are our own views and hope they will be of some use to you while you travel in your motorhome, campervan , caravan or even tent!!!  We are Hayley and Ashley and have owned and travelled in motorhomes for over 12 years now, mainly in the UK but have travelled to France, Spain and Andorra earlier this year and will be returning to these countries, and others, later in the year.  We mainly document our travels on Instagram and Facebook and more recently we have been uploading videos on Youtube, so please pop over and take a look and see what we have been upto.
